Recently, 100 young people in Ebonyi State received training in contemporary electrical installation techniques from the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI). This program is a component of NASENI’s continuous dedication to skill development and youth empowerment, which is in line with Nigeria’s overarching objectives for job creation and economic progress.
The participants got practical instruction aimed at giving them cutting-edge abilities specific to the demands of the contemporary electrical and construction industries. Startup kits containing equipment like safety gear, wire strippers, non-contact testers, and wireless inspection cameras were provided as part of the initiative. These resources are intended to assist the trainees in starting their professions and to give them the chance to train others in their local areas.
Francis Nwifuru, the governor of Ebonyi State, emphasized the program’s importance in promoting employability and innovation through the Commissioner for Skill Development. After similar efforts in the states of Anambra and Imo, this is the third such training session in the South-East.
In addition to fostering local and national economic resilience, this empowerment project highlights NASENI’s role in developing a competent workforce capable of meeting the demands of contemporary industries.
