Out of 189 countries in the world, Nigeria has been ranked the 122nd best place to start a business in a survey carried out by the world bank.
Nigeria was also place in 147th best place for doing business, the low ranking is due to the poor electricity we have in this country. Now talking of power supply, Nigeria is in 185 place out of 189 while Rwanda was the top on the list, 32nd position on the list.
A report says that in Africa, 66% of the countries had at least a reform last year which helped the economy compared to the 33% way back in 2005. On the list there are about 9 African countries which are part of the top 20 most improved in terms of business.
These countries include, Benin, Burundi, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, and Togo. The report also said that the economies are ranked based on their ease of doing business from 1-189.
