The much talked about BlackBerry 10 was finally launched yesterday at Pier 36 ‘ 266 South Street, New York. Hundreds of journalists and industry analysts gathered to hear RIM’s chief executive officer Thorsten Heins as he unveiled the new operating system as well as the BlackBerry z10 smartphone,, the first phone to run the BlackBerry 10 mobile OS.
The much anticipated BlackBerry 10 has generated a buzz among tech enthusiast and financial analysts, kudos to the stylish features that may set it apart in an overcrowded smartphone market.
The company has also officially changed its name from Research In Motion (RIM) to BlackBerry with hope to brighten its tarnished image.
