Hello Afrika: Build Windows Applications, #West Africa on the Move

Here again is an opportunity for mobile app developers to equip themselves with what is required to develop for Windows phone platform, this is courtesy Nokia.

Join the West African Developer Train as the Windows Phone takes a joyride going across Africa and bringing out the best in developers and potential developers (and non-developers) by engaging them in contests and trainings regarding development of Apps for the windows platform. The train aims to go round West Africa countries and states until they get over a thousand apps for the Nokia Windows smartphones. Brilliant developers found in each location the train stops join a section of the train where mentoring is key is given to these developers. The developers stand a chance to win a $1500 worth of token from Nokia to facilitate their development skills. The train started its journey in Elizade University, Ondo state Nigeria (24th August 2013) and now arriving in lagos at IDEA hub, 9^th September, 2013, Herbert Macaulay way, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos on the 9th to 11th of September 2013. Then they move to Accra, Ghana at GIMPA, Accra from the 11th to 13th September 2013. The event is open to all interested participants, there is no form of registration required.
