African Fintech and Web3 Leaders Set to Converge at the Africa Money and DeFi Summit in Ghana

Recent reports, such as PwC & Emurgo Africa 2023’s “State of Web3 in Africa,” reveal that the adoption of blockchain technology by African nations is the fastest in the world. In 2022, blockchain funding across Africa saw a staggering increase of 1,668 percent. Notably, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa are leading the charge in the continent’s Web3 adoption. Funding escalated from $5.165 million in 2021 to an impressive $91 million in 2022.

The 2022 edition of the summit brought together more than 200 companies representing over 20 countries and spanning 44 sectors. It proved to be a fertile ground for meaningful collaborations and partnerships. For instance, South African startup Revio, one of the ten selected to present its solution, garnered significant investor interest following its participation.
