Building upon the resounding success of its 2022 edition, the Africa Money and DeFi Summit 2023 promises to explore a diverse array of topics. These include fintech, Web3, regenerative finance (ReFi), cryptocurrency, insurtech, cybersecurity, and much more. Attendees can look forward to keynote speeches, engaging panel discussions, and masterclass sessions. The event offers unparalleled networking opportunities and delivers expert insights into the future of fintech and Web3 in Africa.

Recent reports, such as PwC & Emurgo Africa 2023’s “State of Web3 in Africa,” reveal that the adoption of blockchain technology by African nations is the fastest in the world. In 2022, blockchain funding across Africa saw a staggering increase of 1,668 percent. Notably, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa are leading the charge in the continent’s Web3 adoption. Funding escalated from $5.165 million in 2021 to an impressive $91 million in 2022.

The 2022 edition of the summit brought together more than 200 companies representing over 20 countries and spanning 44 sectors. It proved to be a fertile ground for meaningful collaborations and partnerships. For instance, South African startup Revio, one of the ten selected to present its solution, garnered significant investor interest following its participation.

Nicole Dunn, Chief Operating Officer of Revio, commented on their experience: “Pitching at the Africa Money & DeFi summit was a real highlight. The exposure led to over 12 client leads, investor interest, and several strategic partnership conversations. The audience was well-curated and allowed us to test our value proposition in a new market and build a valuable network.”

For investor-ready ventures specializing in fintech, DeFi, and Web3 technologies, an exciting opportunity awaits. They can apply for the Investment Showcase, a key feature of the Africa Money and DeFi Summit. With an audience comprising tech investors focused on Africa, participating companies will have the chance to showcase their ventures, network with fellow entrepreneurs, and glean insights from industry experts. Interested ventures can submit their applications HERE until September 8th, 2023.
