Best Company Cars to Consider for Your Business

Selecting company cars for employee use is a big expense that requires some careful thought. The first consideration must be whether this is a perk for a titled position or if it is a necessity for completing regular business. You need to have a clear idea of who is using the car and for what purpose. No matter the use, your selected vehicle or vehicles should maximize your business efficiency while meeting your company needs.

What to Consider in Selecting a Company Car

Choosing the right company car should come down to several important aspects, including:

    1. Choosing to buy or lease – Deciding whether to buy or to lease the vehicle can be a major issue for your business. Generally, you will be able to lease a more expensive vehicle than you can buy upfront. However, leases can become too expensive if you estimate that the vehicle will be driven more than about 15,000 miles each year since this will raise your lease premiums.

    2. Fuel efficiency – Gas prices are constantly fluctuating, so although they may be lower than usual right now, they could skyrocket at any moment. If your company car will be used frequently, you will want to consider a vehicle that gets better gas mileage.

    3. Overall costs – The initial purchase or rental price of the vehicle is not the only dollar amount going into the vehicle. Keep in mind that there will be costs associated with regular maintenance, surprise repairs, insurance premiums and other potential money losses.

    4. Going green – With the unpredictability of gas prices, another option is to choose an electric or hybrid car. If you are planning to keep the car in the city, such as for door-to-door sales or for short business trips, this is an excellent option. You may even be eligible for tax credits based on low emissions.

    5. Size – Make sure that the vehicle you choose is the right size for your needs. If the car will be used mainly as a perk for a top employee, a smaller business vehicle will be sufficient. However, if you are looking for something for hauling goods, a larger car or a van may be a better choice.

    6. The availability – Classic cars, although more unique in appearance, are more prone to breaking down. Choose a sensible car that was produced recently in large quantities so that you can find replacement parts for repairs.

Top Business Car Options to Consider

Each of these vehicles won the business car awards for its category in 2016, making any of these options especially appropriate for your company car consideration.

    1. Ford Fiesta – With a low purchase price and a combined 32 miles per gallon fuel economy, the Ford Fiesta is a perfect choice for small- and medium-sized businesses. You will appreciate the nimble handling of this sleek vehicle, as well as the leather-rimmed seats and the available smart connectivity. If you need several company cars, this one is both efficient and affordable.

    2. BMW 1 Series – This line of hatchback vehicles from BMW is a sporty and versatile option for your business vehicle. For stronger hauling capabilities, it is available in a 6-cylinder engine that gets a combined 24 miles per gallon. This is one of the most affordable BMW options, giving you more budgetary room for upgrades or for fuel costs.

    3. Mini Cooper 5-Door Hatchback – By stretching the normal Mini Cooper to a four-door option plus the hatchback, this vehicle offers the tight handling you would expect from this brand but with more cargo room. Keep in mind that most of these vehicles are manual drive, but the combined 31 miles per gallon fuel efficiency is another reason that this Mini Cooper offering is the subcompact company car that your business needs.

    4. BMW 5 Series – As the leading choice for mid-size and larger businesses, the BMW 5 Series has dominated the market since its debut in 2010. Whether you prefer the 5 Series Touring, 5 Series Sedan or the 5 Series Gran Turismo, BMW is giving you a wide range of options for your company vehicle needs. Depending on the model, this BMW series offers you a combined efficiency of 20-27 miles per gallon, making it an excellent choice for short drives.

    5. Tesla Model S – The electric power behind the Tesla Model S is responsible for the unbelievable 303 miles range. With a 60-100 kilowatt-per-hour battery, the luxurious Tesla Model S is available for sale or lease with an affordable payment plan. Although this car is a little more expensive upfront, its savings in fuel can help recoup much of that cost.

    6. Mercedes-Benz V-Class – If you need a van-like option, the Mercedes-Benz V-Class provides the space and hauling capabilities to fit your requirements. The sturdy wheelbase and rounded outer shell gives you the power and the capacity for deliveries and for long trips at a combined fuel efficiency of around 30-40 miles per gallon, depending on the V-Class model.

    7. Hyundai Tucson Eco – The combined fuel efficiency of 28 miles per gallon, the touchscreen audio, and the rearview camera and the front solar glass make the Hyundai Tucson a great option for a company car. With this vehicle, you will find quality and efficiency, both important aspects of any business car.

There is no one-size-fits-all solution to the best vehicle to choose as a company car. You must make the best decision based on your company’s needs, planned uses and budget. Choose the vehicle that meets your requirements and provides the most efficient and affordable options, and you will have the right company car.

How businesses benefit from a piggyback forklift for sale?

Every industry and business have their own requirements of raw materials, machinery, and skilled labor. They deal in various trades and commerce that require special types of equipment and devices to make the operations of the business smooth. Almost all businesses and industries use some types of forklift to carry different products from one location to another.

    Two kinds of piggyback forklift

When the items have to be transferred from one city to another; various vehicles like truck lorry are used to transport materials and goods. Many drivers face the difficulty of loading and unloading the items as not all places have forklifts in their fleet. So it is a good choice to have a piggyback forklift for sale with their vehicle. The drivers can have the following two kinds of truck-mounted forklifts.

    Normal Trucks with Forklifts

The normal type of truck-mounted forklift is attached to the back of any vehicle. The only purpose of this forklift is to load, unload and move the items from the truck, lorry or other vehicles. The goal of creating this forklift was that an ordinary forklift was difficult to take anywhere but with piggyback forklift it was now possible.

    Box-Mounted Forklift

Sometimes the vehicles to which the piggyback forklift has to be attached don’t have enough space to accommodate the normal one. The design of the box-mounted is specially planned out so that the driver can take this forklift to the places where the items have to be delivered. Several modifications can be done to improve the functions.

Benefits of a piggyback forklift for sale

There are several individuals who have an opinion that a normal forklift can do all the work no matter what the job is. But they forget that not all forklifts do everything; so particular forklifts have clear-cut tasks to do and they have to be used for that only. In the same way the piggyback forklifts have their own benefits.

No need of an extra forklift

Good quality of this forklift is that it can be fastened and attached to any kind of lorry and truck; this is why they are called piggyback forklifts. They can be taken practically anywhere so there is no need to hire extra forklift because it can be used as a traditional forklift that can load and unload items.

Absolutely no damage to the items inside

The truck-mounted forklifts are fixed at the back of the vehicle; not inside the container. This keeps all of the products and goods safe inside. The piggyback forklifts that you buy from dealers like Bobby Park Truck and Equipment have features that make it easy for the driver to mount and unmount the forklift from the rear of the truck.

    Time is not wasted

It takes a lot of time for a single person to carry objects and take them to the specified locations. On other occasions the goods are too heavy to be lifted by people. So the forklifts are the best choice. Then a lot of time is consumed to hire a forklift. But with the truck-mounted forklift the time is saved.

The Piggyback forklift is easy to handle

The mechanism of the piggyback forklifts is the same as the other forklift types but one difference is that this one is easy to handle. The small size of the forklift makes it effortless to drive around especially in tight and narrow spaces. As the large ones can be really problematic to manage.

Take the vehicle anywhere the operator wants

The reason for people choosing to buy the piggyback is that it can be taken anywhere to be used. It is attached to the back of the vehicle and can be taken to any part of the world. In this way you don’t have to pay extra money to rent the forklift as you will have the forklift attached to the truck.

The truck-mounted forklift is securely attached

A reason that people give about not having a truck-mounted forklift is they fear that the forklift will come off the truck and get damaged. The drivers will never know that the forklift is detached. But there is nothing to worry about because there are chains and locks that secure the piggyback forklift very well.

The piggyback can be mounted in very less time

The time taken to mount and unmount the piggyback is very less. It takes only 30 seconds to take down or mount up the forklift. Sometimes it can take a little longer time because the drivers have to be careful so that no damage is done to the forklift.

It is good to own truck-mounted forklift

At times the truck owners insist to help in loading and unloading the goods from the trucks. So having piggyback forklift for sale can be very useful. They don’t need to rent it as it can cost more. The truck owners can buy it one time and use whenever and wherever they want.

Love super cars? Visit Dubai’s Boulevard of Dreams

Dedicated supercars zone will feature some of the world’s fastest and most expensive models at this year’s Dubai International Motor Show

A dedicated supercars zone – the Boulevard of Dreams – will feature some of the world’s fastest and most expensive models at this year’s Dubai International Motor Show.

The show, which runs from November 14-18 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), will features a total of five specialised sectors and is expected to attract thousands of visitors, from serious car buyers to aspiring owners, petrolheads and car-mad kids.

“The region has long been synonymous with luxury and supercars… In keeping with the prestige, glamour and mystique associated with the supercar segment, visitors will be in for a real treat with some big reveals scheduled for the show,” said Trixie LohMirmand, senior vice president, Exhibitions & Events Management, DWTC.

“The Boulevard of Dreams allows brands to engage more easily with both loyal clients and potential new customers; it also represents a great opportunity for young car enthusiasts who usually only witness these magnificent supercars driving past them at speed,” she added.

The MENA region is home to an ever-increasing number of high net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and ultra high net-worth individuals (UHNWIs). A recent Knight Frank report said the number of UHNWIs in the region grew by 48 per cent from 2006 to 2016, with some 7,370 UHNWIs sharing a combined wealth of $810 billion now calling the region home.

t is therefore little surprise that the emirate’s supercar segment continues to move at a rapid pace, as evidenced by industry luminaries such as McLaren opening new showrooms in Dubai and across the region. At present, the Middle East makes up 12 percent of McLaren’s global sales.

Andreas Bareis, managing director Middle East, Africa & Latin America for McLaren Automotive, said: “McLaren has been going from strength-to-strength in the Middle East. We opened a new McLaren showroom in Dubai earlier this year; we opened in Beirut recently.

“Therefore, it makes sense for us to be present at the biggest motor show in the region. Our clients still enjoy visiting the motor show to see what’s new and the general public also enjoy getting a closer look at our supercars.”

McLaren, which will be showing its new 570S Spider, will be joined at the Dubai event by other legendary manufacturers such as Ferrari and Maserati while Italian automaker ICONA will unveil the world’s first handmade titanium supercar – the Vulcano Titanium, valued at $2.9 million.

Teresio G Gaudio, chairman and CEO of ICONA, said: “We think that the style of this unique masterpiece will capture the discerning taste of a selected public. The Vulcano Titanium is an example of the craftsmanship of ICONA blended with design and technology; we are also ready to discuss personalized, unique one-offs with keen car collectors.”

Other exhibitors in the sector include Rimac, which will be showcasing its Rimac Concept One – an electric super-car –  Prato and Shaali Motorsport, which will bring its UAE-made Shaali N360.
