Etisalat subscribers who were expecting their 20% bonus airtime of the total recharge made last month, were surprised when they were credited with N7500 this morning. The 20% bonus airtime is a monthly give away to all subscribers of Etisalat as an incentive for encouraging them to recharge as much as they can every month. However, most of the subscribers who didn’t load up to N750 received a message that they have been credited with N7500 and the airtime is 20% of their total recharges for last month.

This was obviously a big error on the part of Etisalat and immediately they were notified, the unused airtime was deducted from all the subscribers. Speaking to Business-Matter.com a customer care representative who prefer to be anonymous, said the N7500 bonus airtime was given to all subscribers in error and it has been withdrawn. However, the actual 20% bonus airtime will be credited to each of the subscribers according to their total recharge for last month.
