jennifer ezeThe CEO of BainStone Limited, is better known as the founder of BellaNaija, an online fashion, lifestyle and entertainment blog to celebrate Africans. The 29-year old occupied 22nd spot in Punch Newspaper’s rating of the 100 people, places, events and things that shaped 2008. In 2011, she was a finalist in the Young person of the year category at the Future Awards. She is the driving force behind BainStone Limited, a new media company aimed at conceptualizing, developing, and managing, innovative and exciting online media content aimed at Pan-African and Nigerian audiences. However, that is not what many know Uche Eze for. BellaNaija.com, described as the premier lifestyle, entertainment and fashion website in Africa is what she is known for.

The website, often to referred to as the pioneer in the field of entertainment content in Nigeria, has won numerous awards including the Outstanding Contribution to Fashion Communication Award at the 2010 Africa Fashion Week held by Africa Fashion International (AIF) in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Uche Eze is A TEDAfrica Fellow, a 2010 Future Awards nominee for the Best Use of Technology Eze as featured on the ‘Oprah Winfrey Show’ and ‘Inside Africa’, one of CNN’s International flagship programs about the continent. Eze was recently selected as a Nigeria Leadership Initiative – NLI Associate, a prestigious distinction for young outstanding Nigerians. In January 2011, she was honored as one of the Young Person’s of the Year, at The Future Awards, one of the most esteemed award for young Nigerians. In February of the same year, BainStone was chosen as one of 50 high potential Nigerian SMEs and awarded a British Airways Opportunity Grant. Most recently, Eze was awarded the TW Magazine Protégé Award of Business Entrepreneurship. She holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, Canada, where she graduated with distinction in 2006. She has been using her upwardly mobile site to influence change in Nigeria, surely is one future leader the new generation.
