The banking landscape in Nigeria has been subject to significant change in the past year. Notably, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has launched the ‘Cash Less Lagos Project’ in the State of Lagos. This is a roll out scheme to incentivise the use of e-payment systems across the country. The replacement of cash usage will promote greater financial inclusion, foster further economic development, reduce cash handling costs and combat related fraud activity.

CR2 has long been present in Nigeria, where the trend of migration from branch banking and cash usage towards self-service banking channels is ever increasing due to growing need. CR2’s solutions have been met with growing recognition due to their provision of a complete self-service platform to manage all channels including ATM, Internet, Mobile and Apps; thus controlling each electronic transaction whilst improving customer service.

cr2CR2 CEO Martin Dolan comments – “CR2 has very much welcomed news of the Cash Less Lagos Project by the Central Bank of Nigeria. We are eager to demonstrate our support, in addition to highlighting the potential benefits of such a scheme. We look forward to hosting a seminar for key stakeholders in the region, whereby we shall showcase our self-service banking expertise and solutions which are tailored to the very needs of ‘cash-less’ focused society.”

The one day seminar will include presentations and demonstrations on enabling banks to ensure security at every point of touch and upkeep of personalised contact with customers through targeted offerings.

There will also be an opportunity for one-to-one meetings with CR2 situational experts the following day – 28th November, 2012. Banks will be able to discuss their business issues in privacy with CR2’s consultants.
